I was impressed from the outset at how Neil listened to our ideas and made helpful and knowledgeable observations

We have recently had our property completely landscaped by Neil Aldridge Landscapes. We had already created a plan on paper and were keen that it should be followed as closely as possible. After responding quickly to our initial enquiry, Neil visited us within a couple of days to discuss our requirements. I was impressed from the outset at how Neil listened to our ideas and made helpful and knowledgeable observations as to what could work and what could be problematic, without in any way belittling our ideas as some other contractors had done. The following day Neil sent us a detailed itemised quotation along with an indication of when the work could start.

The project was not straightforward, involving moving our drive from the back garden to the front giving us a much larger garden and extended patio area plus additional parking area. As the site is on a hill, there needed to be considerable planning and care involved in managing the different levels as we wanted the new patio to wrap around the whole house at one level and create a feeling of continuity. The existing landscaping was a combination of an unsightly tarmac drive, concrete patio blocks, industrial paving slabs and crumbling steps. Neil has the ability to visualise what we wanted to achieve and then communicate this clearly to his team who then brought it to life.

We were greatly impressed by the skill of Neil's small but dedicated team; which in our case was led by Dan, but ably assisted by Rob, Gregg and Alex. Dan's imaginative but practical brickwork is a work of art in itself and the extensive patio, which looks deceptively simple, is the result of very careful and clever planning and implementation by Rob and Gregg. Despite some very difficult weather conditions, the team worked incredibly hard to get the job done but never compromised on their high standards. The boys were at all times courteous and respectful to ourselves and our family and all of our neighbours, and many passers-by, have commented on how hard they worked and how impressed they are at the end result. We are very much of the same view.

We are delighted that we decided to choose Neil Aldridge Landscapes to create the outer-house and garden that we had always imagined, but could not find anyone who thought it could be achieved without considerable expense. Neil's price was very reasonable and significantly lower than quotes we obtained from other contractors. Despite several complication and work-arounds, such as repositioning drainage pipes and soak-aways, the project came in exactly as agreed. We would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Neil Aldridge Landscapes to our friends and family and would be happy to show-case the work done to any prospective clients.
